A couple years ago I took Big Sister to the toy store for her to pick out a lovey in hopes of helping her give up her thumb. That day she picked out Little Princess Baby Cozy. She then became known as simply “Princess Cozy.” Big Sister slept with Princess Cozy every nap and every night until this fall (when much to our shock!) Princess Cozy was replaced by a blanket stuffed animal Minnie Mouse.
You may remember in an old post that one of the first things Big Sister did when Baby Sister got home from the hospital was run upstairs and get Princess Cozy to give her. It was a sweet first expression of sister love.
Well, a year later Little Sister sleeps with Princess Cozy’s Sister (a named coined by Big Sister) for every nap and every night. Princess Cozy’s Sister was bought as a back up in case the genuine article became lost. Now it’s Little Sister’s lovey. Her favorite place for Princess Cozy’s Sister is right up on her shoulder squished against her face. She will also rub it on her face. It’s really become a lovey of hers (now I understand the name).
