Hooray for Snow!

Watching her favorite four year old animated buddy, Caillou, play in the snow in episode after episode seemed to have made Fiona a lot more brave and interested in playing in the snow.  So today when she woke up from her nap and saw snow out her window, she immediately wanted to go out and play in it.  So we did…

In a couple of the episodes, Caillou makes snow angels.  So Fiona thinks making snow angels is super cool.  She makes them in our livingroom, and Fiona’s snow angels are made by pumping her legs up and down like she’s doing old lady exercises. : )  Here she is making snow angels in the snow. 

She looks like she’s in pain, but she’s actually just bracing herself for feeling the snow.

That’s as far as she got with her snow angel—too cold and “too messy!” : )

Then, we brought the snow inside and made a snowman.  Fiona had a lot of fun with this.

  

Mr. Potato Head lent us his arms and hats.  Peas from dinner were the eyes.  An almond sliver was the nose, and tin foil was sufficient for the mouth.  Fiona wanted to bring him into the bath with her, but…we decided it would be best for him to melt in the sink instead of her bath water.  It was a fun snow time.
